Screw, adhesive tape, weld. All of them connections, all of them additives. But is connecting always adding? Or can also be connected by subtraction?
project_void is an experimental examination of vacuum. In various series of experiments, the quality of vacuum as a connecting and design element is examined. The result of these experiments is project_void, an experimental piece of seating furniture. The rods of the framework are positioned through recesses and firmly connected to each other by vacuum. The textile used simultaneously stretches the seat and backrest and defines the design of the framework. In this way, the vacuum creates a temporary, yet secure connection.
